Upcoming Events
The following events are planned at our golf club. For a complete month by month view please click on the link at the bottom of the page.
- The FBMGA October 4-Ball Tournament will be held on October 1st and October 2nd, with a 9:00AM shotgun start on both days. This tournament is the main fundraiser for the FBMGA scholarship fund. Two-player teams will compete in a Captain’s Choice format on Saturday and a Best-Ball format on Sunday. This event will feature hole-in-one contests on all par 3s, a putting contest, lunch on both days, and a steak dinner on Saturday night. The cost is only $85 for members and $100 for non-members. Participants can bring a guest to the steak dinner for only $10. Contact the golf shop at 904-277-7370 to register.
-The Lions Club of Callahan/Fernandina Beach will be hosting their 4th annual charity golf tournament at Fernandina Beach Golf Club on October 8th. The tournament will start with a 12PM Shotgun, and the format will be a four-person scramble. There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt. There will be an awards dinner following play. The cost of this even is $75 per player. 100% of the profits from this event go to support sight and hearing services for the disadvantaged. Contact the golf shop at 904-277-7370 to register.
-The FBWGA will be holding their Ladies 27-Hole Mixer on November 15th, 2011. Two-person teams will compete in a best-ball format on the west nine holes, a captain’s choice format on the south nine holes, and a modified Pinehurst format on the north nine holes. This event will begin with breakfast and registration at 8AM and a shotgun start at 9AM. Lunch is included during play and heavy hors d’oeuvres are included following play. The cost is $70 per player, and entry will be limited to 96 participants. Contact the golf shop at 904-277-7370 to register.
